Mustafaoğlu
"Nur Mustafaoglu is an interdisciplinary professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Sabanci University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. She holds two bachelor's degrees: one in molecular biology and genetics and the second in physical engineering from Istanbul Technical University. She also holds a master's degree in nanoscience and nanoengineering from the same university. She received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue her PhD in the United States in bioengineering from the University of Notre Dame. Her research for biosensing applications was recognized by the Berry Family Foundation Graduate Fellowship in Advanced Diagnostics & Therapeutics. She currently leads a bioengineering lab focused on innovative technologies for understanding and treating brain diseases and their interactions with the blood-brain barrier. She was awarded by BAGEP Young Scientist Award in 2023, TUBA-GEBIP and ODTU Parlar Research Incentive awards in 2024. Her research was funded by many funding agencies including ERC-Starting, EU Marie Curie Actions, EMBO, TUBITAK, and ERANET JPND and Neuron.
