Dr. Muge Serhatlı has been working as a senior researcher in Life Sciences Department at TUBITAK-MAM since 2000. Her PhD thesis was focused on clinical biochemistry, specifically emphasizing the angiogenesis-mediated mechanisms of cardiovascular disease and malignancy. She has an expertise in developing various mammalian cell culture models, including three-dimensional models utilized to evaluate potential drugs or molecules for disease prognosis, treatment duration, photodynamic therapy, and application domains. She utilized her knowledge of mammalian cell culture models to develop COVID-19-based assays to comprehend the disease's progression. She participated in numerous initiatives as an investigator and PI in medical biotechnology and bioengineering. Two patents, twenty-three refereed journal articles, and more than thirty conference presentations are among her accomplishments.
