Baysal
"Prof. Dr. Kemal Baysal obtained his MD degree at İstanbul University, İstanbul Medical Faculty in 1985. He received his PhD in biochemistry from Ohio State University and continued his post-doctoral studies at different universities in the USA. Upon his return to Turkey, he worked at TUBİTAK Marmara Research Center as the head of the Molecular Cell Biology Laboratory, where he directed several national and international projects on medical biotechnology. Since 2018, Professor Baysal has been a faculty member at Koç University, School of Medicine, where he serves as the head of the biochemistry department. He is also a member of KUTTAM, Koç University, Research Center for Translational Medicine. His area of research is vascular biology, cardiovascular diseases, angiogenesis and its role in tissue engineering, and 3D culture effects on cancer cell metabolism."
