Dr. Hasan Umit Ozturk is a senior molecular biologist experienced in molecular biology, protein engineering and microbial enzyme technologies and working as a chief researcher in Life Sciences Department at TUBITAK-MAM. His research experience includes developing recombinant protein production, purification and characterization, and also identifying microorganisms of industrial importance and developing enzyme production processes. As the Project Leader of the Medical Biotechnology Research Center (MEDIBIYO) project, he is responsible for establishing a new pilot-scale facility for developing pharmaceuticals/vaccines. His research interests are (i) developing new biotechnological molecules, biosimilars and theranostics, (ii) physicochemical characterization and molecular interaction analysis.
